It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

A few thoughts on my wonderful Dad on the day of his birth:
He's incredibly hard working, likes his hair long, and loves all things USA (see pictured hat). He loves his family and would do anything for us. I know this because I can think of countless examples (going to the baby store to buy me a new breast pump, driving home to sterilize it, and bringing it to me at work...all in time for my AM pump comes to mind....what other Dad would do that!?). He's well-respected in his profession, both for the quality of work he produces and for the kind of man his clients have the privilege of interacting with. He's funny, loves watching movies, staying up late, and anything of the Apple technology variety. He has instilled in me a love of technologically advanced devices, white chocolate, red licorice, finding great humor in the stranger moments of life, and how to lead in a reserved, quiet manner. He is a calming influence in my life when the waters get rough and I know I can go to him with absolutely any problem: big or small (see breast pump reference above). He's a faithful prayer warrior...the effects of which I've experienced all throughout my life. He's a fabulous granddaddy to Wesley and we could not be more thankful for him.
He is also the most faithful reader of this blog.
Happy Birthday, Big Man! We love you more than you know!

Ha, the breast pump story made me laugh. I can just picture a man walking in asking questions about a breast pump. Too funny!!
