Oh, Apartment 2516, how good to us you've been. We have come upon our final week of apartment life, and we surely will miss it. After all, 2516 was our first home together, and that in itself makes it special.
I realized that in our year of living here, I never managed to post any pictures of our humble (very humble) abode. So in honor of our last week of living here, here they are:
Our "dining room" (actually corner) :-)
Ah, books, books, and more books. Our dream is to one day have a bookshelf that covers an entire wall, floor to ceiling. I've already picked one out at Wiers. It's complete with a ladder, allowing you to scale the massive shelf (very Beauty and the Beast-esque). I adore it. One day....
A few more:
This is one of my favorite things in our apt. A present from our sister, Rachel, it was created by a couple that lives in Dallas. Wife takes the pictures. Husband does the framing and matting. The pictures are letters found in nature. Some really are letters from store signs, etc. Others are more creative, and those are my favorite. The the "o" that is a wagon wheel, and the "c" that is the scrolled arm of an iron chair. They have an "r" that is an old-fashioned water pump! What a fun thing to do as a couple! Visit their website here.
Goodbye, apt 2516. We always felt safe in you, and never had to mow the grass. We will miss you!
