So thrilled to announce the birth of my sweet nephew, Jude Oliver Hahn, born September 24th at 2:55 am. At 21.25 inches long and 8 lbs 9 oz, my father-in-law thinks we may have the foundation of a basketball team. He was scheduled to be induced the following Monday, but we are so glad he decided to come on his own. We unfortunately had a sick baby in the days following Jude's birth, but finally made it to Austin last weekend to spend some time with Hayley, Brian, and Jude. They are adapting to having newborn quite well and we enjoyed a relaxing, low-key weekend with them. Not so sure that's the impression we gave our visitors when Wesley was born. Yikes.
We're looking forward to the years ahead, having two boys in the family only 6 months apart. I'm sure you can tell from this photo exactly how thrilled they were to "play" together for the first time:
How fun to be around a newborn again...it seems like a lifetime ago that we had one - and somehow at the same time its hard to believe how much he's grown in such a short time. What a sweet reminder to cherish these days!
Also thought his beyond adorable nursery deserved some photos - Hayley did an amazing job. It's owl-themed and absolutely precious. So sweet.
Praying Jude will walk humbly with the Lord all the days of his life (see Micah 6:8). So thrilled to be his Auntie. :-)
