Welcome to the World, Baby!

Can't believe it's already been a week since bringing our sweet baby into the world. We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the love, generosity, and kindness extended to us by so many these past few days. My, how life has changed! We are so in love with our little one. He is the sweetest, most cuddly thing. He came nearly 3 weeks early which was a surprise - we thought we had a little longer to prepare! I had my 37-week doctor's appointment last Tuesday, at which we were told that things were already "progressing" and that I probably wouldn't make it to my due date. As it turned out, a couple hours later my water broke, contractions started full-force, and we headed to the hospital. About 12.5 hours later, our sweet boy was born.

Here are some pictures from out first few days:

We're running on very little sleep these days, and are so incredibly grateful for the help we've had from family and friends. The Lord has been gracious in sustaining us while we adjust to life with our little one! We are learning invaluable lessons in trust, surrender, and selflessness...to name a few! Kyle has been so incredible.....WOW, just wow. God knew just what He was doing when he put us together.

So very very thankful.

What a cutie!! I am so glad that we got to meet him on Tuesday. He is just precious!! Start telling him about his best buddy, Pearson!! Tell him it won't be long until he has a little playmate right down the street to play with this summer. Okay so maybe they won't be able to play together, but it will be a good excuse for us to get together until they can!!

P.S. I saw the itzbeen on someone's blog, and that was one of the first things I registered for. I thought they looked SO cool. I'm glad to hear that you like yours!!

And what is the difference between a bobby newborn napper. Can you not do the same thing with a bobby?
