So This is the New Year....

A couple days ago my love turned 25. His birthday falls on New Year's Eve, which is excellent because we get to doubly celebrate! I decided to throw a little party this year. We had been wanting to have some friends over to our house for a while now, and the 31st of December gave me the perfect excuse! We had a great time with dear friends, great food, the Nelson game, and Hummingbird cake (Kyle's favorite and always requested for his birthday). One of Kyle's best friends, Austin, came in town for Kyle's birthday. Kyle and Austin grew up together, were roommates for 2 years in college, and worked at Camp Ozark together. He interned with us at The Heights this summer (oddly enough, we didn't plan it!) and took a job as a Junior High Pastor at a church in Texarkana this past August. It was great to spend some time together-it brought back some pretty hilarious memories of the past summer.

Oh my dear, where do I begin? Life with you is more than anything I could have dreamed of. This year I so admire your commitment - to me, to education, to the 10th graders at our church, to everything you do. Most of all I admire your commitment to our Father and to being obedient to Him. You lead our family so well, and you make life so fun. Thank you for putting up with me on my less-agreeable days, and for being the constant support, love, and encouragement that you are. Oh, how I love you!
Happy birthday, my love!
