Furniture & Such....

A long-time dream of mine came true last Saturday. I'm afraid words are insufficient. I'll let the pictures do the talking. View from my guest bedroom window: Just look at what awaited me when I opened my front door: That's right. Dream of all dreams. A Weir's Furniture truck pulled up at my house. Ah, the thrill of it all! Okay, maybe I'm being a little dramatic (and maybe a little obsessive), but I love love love Weir's Furniture. Though they have opened several other stores, I always go to the one in Highland Park and mill around for wayyy too much time. There is just something about the atmosphere that is good for my soul. The furniture is beautiful, but I'm sure the friendly people, tiny Christian book nook, and gift shop in the back all contribute to the home-like appeal. Upon moving into our new home three weeks ago, the time came to make our first big furniture purchase. A bedroom set. We must have looked at hundreds of different sets before deciding on one from Weir's. I know money (and furniture) certainly does not buy happiness, but last Saturday I must say was FUN (for me at least). There was plenty of eye-rolling from a certain "other" party. :-) Here's a couple of shots of the newly-furnished bedroom: And this last one I just can't resist: After the furniture delivery, we packed up and headed to College Station to visit our family's newest Aggie. She and Ariel did a great job of decorating and maximizing space! Isn't it cute? We attended her Freshman Convocation, indulged our bellies at Buffalo Wild Wings, and walked Julie to each of her classes. Here's Kyle, showing her the ropes. And of course a corps guy in the background. Just to make it official. Happy Saturday!

What a handsome bedroom suite! I also have a Weir's addict at my house and can appreciate Kyle's perspective!
