On Friday of this week, I will be taking a test.
Now don't think I don't hear you grumbling, "Duh, Christie. You're in school. While the rest of us have joined the 'real world' and are slaving away at 9-5 jobs, you're enjoying your 2-month summer vacations and leading an overall cushy life."
Be that as it may, Friday is not just a test. It is THE test.
My dear and dedicated friends Christy, Tara, Ellen, Poco, Lindsay, Amanda, Jordan, Emily and I have been studying since August. In fact, I just spent over four hours with them tonight. Lindsay and Poco have so generously lent us their apartment two nights a week to get together and discuss a multitude of speech-pathology related concepts, and I have really enjoyed my time with these girls. The test we take on Friday is called COMPS (short for Comprehensive Exams). It is four essay questions, and can essentially be over anything we have learning over the past two years. Yikes! The test is graded pass/fail, and you must pass all four questions to be able to graduate in December.
Pressure much? Naaaah.
Okay maybe a little. Maybe a lot. But the important thing is, we have/are studying hard and the time has come to DOMINATE!
Here's to a happy week of studying with a positive attitude and earning those c's!!! :-)
